Administering a registered dwelling

The dwelling has been registered by the supervising professional and now needs to be administrated, the design professional needs to carry out the following five procedures when administrating the building control system for a project.

  • 1. The email sent when registering the building control system will have informed the builder that he needs to download the on site customised fabric compliance documents and complete them and return them to the administrator. When the administrator receives the onsite documents for the fabric they enter the project through their administration page and if compliant tick the compliance boxes or over compliant boxes online in the as constructed section of the building control system and they summaries any improvements if there are any.

When summarised the administrator presses an email button from the as constructed fabric section of the system that sends an email to all the stakeholders informing them that the online as constructed fabric compliance documents can be viewed online and the work can be checked on site.

  • 2. The email sent when registering the building control system will have informed the builder that he needs to download the on site customised fixed building compliance documents and complete them and return them to the administrator. When the administrator receives the onsite documents for the fixed building they enter the project through their administration page and if compliant tick the compliance boxes or over compliant boxes online in the as constructed fixed section of the building control system and they summaries any improvements if there are any.

When summarised the administrator presses an email button from the as constructed fixed building section of the system that sends an email to all the stakeholders informing them that the online as constructed fixed building compliance documents can be viewed online and the work can be checked on site.

  • 3. The emails sent by both the as constructed fabric and fixed building section of the system will inform the energy assessor that they need to use the online fabric and fixed building compliance documents to calculate an as constructed energy rating using their version of SAP and forward the results of the SAP software to the administrator.

  • 4. When the administrator receives the SAP software result from the energy assessor they enter the building control system through their administration page and summarise the as constructed DER online. The administrator presses an email button in the as constructed DER section of the system that informs the stakeholders that they have two months to object to any of the data stored in the building control data base.

  • 5. If there are no objections within the two month period of sending the email the administrator can permanently lock the information in the Foresite data base by simply pressing the lockdown button that appears in the as constructed DER section of the building control system.
